Hello Everyone, my name is Cynthia Mitchell.
I’d like to tell you about my Total Gym journey. About 9 months ago, I opened my social media page and BAM! there it was. This picture right here. A friend made a friendly gesture and posted a picture of me at a graduation celebration. Normally I would smile and reminisce about the moment. I sat and stared at it as if I didn’t know who the person in the picture was, but of course I did, it was me. It’s like when you walk past a storefront window and see your reflection and do a double take. I was slapped with reality and I still get a little emotional thinking about that period in my life.
This was a pivotal moment in my life and I suddenly had an epiphany. I had seen this person, but yet I had not actually seen her. Since we look at ourselves every day, we tend to miss the subtle changes that are obvious to others. I knew I had heartburn almost every day, could not bend over to tie my shoes, got winded just walking up and down the 3 steps to my laundry room or front door. I was on several medications, for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraines and allergies. I knew in the past months when I purchased clothes they had gradually gone up in size. I was in denial. But this picture, this picture made me face reality. I knew I needed to do something, make some changes, but I didn’t really know what to do because everything in the past had lasted for a few weeks or months with little results. I needed a change.
On the same page as the post was an advertisement for the Total Gym® home gym. I’d seen it and the infomercial with Chuck Norris and Christy Brinkley a thousand times. My thought, right, they probably have expensive personal trainers working with them behind the scenes. I closed the page, as it made me sad.
The next day I googled Total Gym® and spent 3 days reading reviews, I was impressed and ordered one.
While waiting for it to be delivered I joined the best support group I have ever been involved with, The Total Gym Addicts on Facebook. This wonderful group provides all things Total Gym, support, recipes, encouragement, and challenges. Shout out to my Total Gym Addicts family.
So far, I have lost 58 pounds using the Total Gym®. However, pounds are not an accurate indicator of the total picture, because once I started working out on the Total Gym regularly the fat began to melt and was replaced with muscle and I began to look toned.
Thanks to my Total Gym regime I can honestly say I’m in better shape and feel better now than I did 30 years ago and for the first time in my life I’m having fun and look forward to working out day.
Might I also add that I am no longer taking any medications, nada, zero. I attribute that to the regular workouts and the healthy eating plan included with the Total Gym®. Oh, did I mention I will be 62 years old in July of this year. That lets you know that the Total Gym can be beneficial for all ages.
Before I close out I like to show you how easy it is to use the Total Gym to get a full body workout from all of the accessories that are included with the Total Gym®. I’m just going to show you a few of my favorites to let you see how the Total Gym® can be used to work different muscle groups and how easy it is to transition from one exercise to another.
