Holiday Hustle Workout



The holidays are a busy time, but… it’s also an important time to stay on track with your own health goals. You can accomplish this by keeping stress levels low in order to focus on things that really matter for a healthy lifestyle, such as eating a good diet, staying active, and getting rest. As we move into the new year, set yourself up to feel invigorated with a healthier, happier you.
 

HUSTLE IT!

When the season is full of things to do, take time for a quick and efficient workout. A little activity will lift your spirits and keep your health on track. Movement also helps keep your stresses low and your body moving to a constant beat!
 
I’ve created a ‘Holiday Hustle Workout’ that maximizes your time to keep your waistline trim and burns off extra calories. It’s a perfect workout you can gift yourself!
 

HOLIDAY HUSTLE WORKOUT

I’ve gathered up the best exercises, checked the list twice, and put together a naughty yet nice core workout that will put some  pep in your holiday step. The exercises transition smoothly from one to the next to maximize your time and challenge your core on your Total Gym.
 
The workout incorporates 5 core exercises in 5 minutes for a quick movement session.  Gear up and hustle your way over to your Total Gym for a powerful core workout!
 

Directions:

  • Set a timer to clock the exercises.
  • Adjust the incline to accommodate your strength level.
  • Perform the workout in circuit format with no break.
  • Execute each exercise for 1 minute, then move on to the next exercise.
  • Repeat if time permits!
  • 1 full circuit = 5 minutes total
 

Warm-up:

Before starting the circuit, briefly warm-up by performing movements that activate and stretch the torso. Examples: kneeling cat/ cow, plank, down dog/ up dog, etc.
 

Cool-Down:

End your workout with a quick stretch to lengthen the muscles worked. (Exercises can be similar to the warm-up movements.)
  Low-medium incline & Attach Total Gym cables
  1. Torso rotation (30 sec each side: approx. 17-20 reps)
  2. Double leg stretch
  3. Bicycle crunch
  4. V leg lowers
  5. Swivel knee tucks
