Quick and Easy Full Body Workout
Personal Trainer Tiffany Savion returns to Total Gym Pulse once again to show us a quick and easy full body workout using The Total Gym home exercise machine. There many advantages to full body workouts including increased muscular recovery rates, lower levels of boredom and shorter time commitments.
Tiffany begins the workout by sitting on The Total Gym with her legs straight and moving her arms in a circular motion. She refers to this as “hugging the tree” or a variation of a “fly” press. Next, she converts over to a close grip chest press by bringing her arms down to her side at a 90 degree angle. Finally, she finishes working the chest by going to a “wide grip press” keeping her abs engaged and shoulders down away from the ears.
Moving to a different part of the body, Tiffany transitions into a bicep curl. Bring your elbows close to the body and sit up straight. Drop the shoulders down and bring the belly button in towards the spine and start to curl back and forth. Keeping this same position, now press your arms forward instead of curling. You still work the biceps but you are also working the triceps and chest as well.
From here Tiffany changes positions on The Total Gym and lies flat on her back. Next, she lifts her legs and arms both straight up in the air. She says you should be able to see the top of your wrists which will keep you alignment from your shoulders to the top of your hands. Now in this position, Tiffany tells us to bring our hands straight down. This will not only work the abs but also give your triceps a great workout as well. Bring even more of core into the equation by lifting up into a crunch.
Tiffany states how important it is to remain slow and controlled throughout your movements without rushing. Going back to the original position, Tiffany then demonstrates another great core workout by conducting alternating leg lifts.
Finally, Tiffany ends the full body workout by moving into a tricep exercise. Keep your elbows in tight and simply kick your arms straight forward from a 90 degree angle. If you want to make it more intense, straighten your legs up in the air for an even better burn.
