Grocery stores today sell pre-made smoothies that are typically sweetened with loads of sugar, loaded with tons of artificial ingredients and contain low- quality protein with ingredients you can’t even pronounce! Although it may seem like a simple, healthy food option, it may actually have the reverse effect on your body.


Making your own smoothie filled with a variety of healthy food can be incredibly good for you and it’s a great option. It allows you to include ingredients you love, packed with powerful nutrients your body needs, and you know where the source of the food is from. Certain smoothies can be consumed as a daily meal replacement to help with weight loss management as well as a natural kick-start to your daily routine.



I want to share some amazing avocado recipes’ that may just be the best thing for your morning routine and get your body going in the right gear! These recipes are all filled with amazing healthy foods that nourish your body, contain antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory properties that help with weight loss and provide energy.


These smoothies are diverse and contain the FITBLAST vanilla protein by Total Gym so you can experiment to see which ones you like best. So start blending up smoothies that kick start your day the right way!


Green Caffeine

Get ready to upgrade your mornings with a super smoothie that’s easy to make and combines both coffee and greens in your cup!


This crafty meal contains healthy fats from the avocado, super foods filled with antioxidants, protein to nourish your muscles, fiber and omega-3s in chia seeds, and a natural sweetener of cinnamon. One cup of this smoothie will have you hooked every day!



½ cup frozen or fresh blueberries or black cherries (your choice)

½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 scoop FITBLAST protein

½ cup coffee or green tea

½ of an avocado

½ cup kale

1 tbsp. of chia seeds

½ tsp cinnamon

½ cup of water

2-3 ice cubes


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Sip & awaken!


Option: instead of using a ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, you could use ½ cup plain kefir or plain Greek yogurt for a thicker texture. 


NOTE: No need to brew coffee fresh, of course you can, but make sure it’s cooled off before you add it to blend. I suggest adding leftover coffee! This way, you don’t waste your coffee efforts! Trust me, it’s not gross!


This is an excellent option that is simple to prepare and provides the best of both worlds by combining caffeine and greens into a power packed meal.

1/3 cup plain, nonfat yogurt OR Coconut yogurt

½ of a ripe avocado (seeded & peeled)

1 scoop FITBLAST protein

1 tbsp. organic lemon juice

1 tbsp. minced ginger

½ cup frozen mango

1 cup water

Cayenne pepper, add to your liking

2-3 ice cubes


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Sip & become energized!

Berry Good Morning

¾ cup frozen blueberries

½ cup frozen raspberries

1 kiwi, peeled

1 banana
